Neem Seed Oil

Botanical Name: Azadirachta indica

Neem Seed Oil is a vegetable oil extracted from the fruits and seeds of neem tree. The oil is light to dark brown in color depending upon its method of processing. It is very bitter in taste mainly because of its triglycerides and triterpenoid compounds. It is used for many purposes to include medicinal, agricultural and health and beauty. Neem oil contains fatty acids like oleic acid and linoleic acid which are beneficial for the hair, skin and scalp.

We 💗 Neem Seed Oil because it adds antifungal / antibacterial properties to our styling products which aid in deterring mosquitoes, fleas, flies, ticks, mites, and lice. Many believe lice will not live in curly hair.  

The facts show lice do not like coarse curly hair, however fine and medium curly hair is fair game.  Just be sure to be prepared as your child heads back to school this season.

 We also 💗 that it is a great moisturizer, it contains vitamin E, and has essential fatty acids.  When used in shampoo formulations Neem Seed Oil can prevent dandruff from forming.  It is basically a must have ingredient superstar which is why we have it in our styling products and in the Key Lime Pie Clarifying Shampoo.
